PlanPro Version Updates Winter 2025: Updated Schedule view; added Latvian and Lithuanian languages; execution report templates; many additions in the Risk Module

At PlanPro, we continuously strive to improve our software based on user feedback and needs. Every update and development are aimed at providing a more efficient and user-friendly solution.

Below is a brief summary of the software developments implemented at the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025.

Activities and Activity Views

  • The Schedule view has been moved to a new platform with an updated design. It now integrates with the Gantt chart, ensuring synchronized functionality.
  • Execution report types can now have predefined templates, allowing users to set up section headings and structure. Users can submit execution reports based on this structure while still having the flexibility to edit and add content as needed.
  • In the activity list view, it is possible to filter based on a specific relationship. Now, user can filter plan relationships, strategy, risks, metrics and action plan relationships, budget and financial source relationships, and search for unit/team relationships. Multiple relationship filters can be applied simultaneously.
  • In the settings, it is possible to define which team roles are selectable in the dropdown menu for a specific activity type.
  • A completion filter has been added to the activity card. For example, user can filter by type, display only comments from the current year, show only their own submissions, or those marked as important.
  • A stages filter has been added to the activity card, allowing user to display only completed stages, those under the user’s responsibility, etc., as well as stages from the current year only.
  • In the activity list view, the “Modified” column now shows the name of the person who made the change in a separate tooltip when hovering over the date.

Strategy, Risk, and Action Plan Modules

  • It is now possible to add a team to the strategy, risk, and action plan forms. One team member must always be designated as responsible. Team members will have the right to make changes to the form.
  • The strategy, risk, and action plan forms now support rich text for entries. Additionally, entries are grouped by type, allowing for search and filtering based on type.
  • A bulk delete option has been added to the full views of strategy, risk, and action plan records.
  • Different types of entries can now be added to action plans.
  • Templates can now be assigned to entry types for risks, strategies, and action plans, allowing for predefined subheadings, etc. Pre-filled text can be overwritten and edited.
  • Various additions in the Risk Module:
    • The change log functionality in the risk form has been improved. It now logs the initial state at the moment of saving a new risk, entries, the addition and removal of plans, status and classification changes, responsible person changes, impact and probability assessments, and more.
    • The term “Risk Type” has been renamed to “Risk Class,” with the option to use subclasses.
    • A dedicated Risk ID field has been added to the risk form. It generates a unique ID when a record is saved in the risk module, numbering starting from 1.
    • Both the current and previous risk levels are now displayed on the risk form and in full views.
    • In impact-based assessment, settings now allow user to choose whether the probability selection is displayed separately for each impact type or only once.
    • In the detailed view of the risk module, the numerical value of the risk level is displayed in a separate column. On the risk form, this value becomes visible when hovering over the coloured textual risk level with the mouse.

Conversations Module

  • In the “All Conversations” view, a department filter has been added, allowing users to view only the questionnaires of a specific department, including its subunits.
  • Improvements related to multilingual questionnaires: Users now automatically see the questionnaire in the language they have selected as their user interface language.
  • The conversation summary now includes default options for filtering by last year and last month in the time period filter.
  • The employee exit interview form now displays the employee’s departure date in the header (if this field exists in the employee’s data).
  • Dropdown menus in questionnaires can now display coloured options and Unicode Character icons, etc.
  • The survey confirmation email now includes the employee’s department name in addition to their name and job title.
  • For confidential surveys, it is now possible to restrict the display of comments in the summary view. A minimum number of comments can be defined before they appear in the summary report.
  • A “Columns” icon has been added to the survey dispatch view menu bar, allowing users to toggle data columns on and off easily.
  • The addition of competency models in the survey dispatch view has been moved under bulk actions.

Other Updates

  • PlanPro user interface is now available in Latvian and Lithuanian.
  • Excel data import has been improved: It is now possible to import stages for activities and data for strategy, action plan, and risk additional forms.
  • Various updates in reports, including:
    • The ability to open activity forms directly from reports.
    • Additional filters and options.
    • Text formatting in entries remains as originally entered.
    • In the responsible department section, users can choose whether to display only the department or the full structure path.
  • In settings, it is now possible to define how many hierarchy levels are expanded by default in the strategy, risk, and action plan module views.
